What a wonderful world...

Things go well.  Nice way to start off a post, eh?  Been rough getting here, but still well.  Still not taking the methotrexate.  Hair isn't coming out at the crazy rate it was before.  Can't say body's enjoying doing without, though.  Tried without it and the prednisone; no good.  Back up to 5mg.  Went down to 4 again and not happy.  So back at 5.  So frakin' close.  Honestly, I would still rather be on the prednisone forever instead of have to take the methotrexate injections again.  Not sure doc will like that when I finally fess up I haven't been taken the methotrexate.  *shrugs*  Still going to try and keep losing the prednisone... may take forever, but I would like to think it's possible.  Doc said that he wants me to go ahead and do another round of the rituxan at 6 months whether I'm feeling I need it or not just to make sure we stay ahead of the pain; I like this plan.  Then hopefully I'll be able to go longer than 6 months till the next round; here's hoping.  Next thing to get off of is the plaquenil.  Will try that here in a few months.  With the cost of health insurance going up next year, anything I can save money on like prescriptions will help.  So many thing I need to get paid off next year.

On a weird side note, strange dream last night.  Was back in school at a UIL competition.  The categories were much cooler, though.  One was for different flavors of video games and the other was drinking milkshakes.  I was a part of two different teams; one for each.  We should have gotten first, but ended up second because the one lady person they had watching everyone would glance over us when we'd finish first and then give it to the next group.  I'd call BS which would bump us down to 5th in both.  *grumbles*  Think it's my insides saying I'm perhaps a bit frustrated not getting credit for all the things I do when others get credit for doing the same things.

Anyways.... off to a birthday party tonight.  Pool party actually.  If it's not too chilly, will try sticking my toes in.  Wondering if body will be able to handle swimming again post-rituxan.  May have to wait and see next summer.  Should be good times tonight either way, though.

Anywho, going to finish watching When Harry Met Sally and head out.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

*HUGS*

  1. bad Randi! you should always tell your doctor when you stop taking a medication. Since the doctors make decisions about your health depending on what they think is going on, then if they think you're still on one medication that you've stopped, then they might make the wrong decision because they don't have the right data. They can't force you to take the medication, but they can at least adjust your other doses to compensate. another potential problem is that the doctor might think you're getting worse, when really you're just not taking one of your meds. this could have dangerous consequences. please, tell your doctor.
