Final infusion (least this round) completed last Fri (7/16). This time, no face trying to beam back to the mothership allergic reaction; bonus! Slept all but the last 45 minutes or so; got underway around 9amish and headed out around 1:30pmish if memory serves. Got to hug my favorite nurse J on the way out and she said she hoped this worked for me; me too. Told her of my delay in drugs last week from forgetting and not feeling anything when I did take them 8-9 hours late and we both agreed it was an awesome sign. I repeated that mistake again tonight (totally don't remember phone reminding me this morning) and so far don't feel any more tired/achy than I should given the weekend I had. Good sign still seems to be good.
Down to 20mg of the prednisone as of last Fri; lowering 10/week till we get to 10 then will lower 1mg/week. Unless I get impatient... but going to try not to. So this Fri we go down to 10 for the next week and then after that keep working toward that goal of notta. Hooray light at the end of the steroid tunnel that's not a train. Getting rid of the meloxicam doesn't seem to have made a difference so glad it's gone and hopefully we can keep it that way.
Side note is I used the last of the non-existent petty cash to buy a Droid X. Haven't really had time to play with it; waiting for music to transfer to it now. Tomorrow I plan on learning how the heck my new toy works. Going from an iphone OS to Android OS has been semi-challenging for the few minutes I've had to play with it only because I'm constantly having to resist the urge to del everything on the pages and then put all my icons onto as few crammed pages as possible. ... I've been programmed! gah!! Once I can get over that, think I'll enjoy having each page dedicated to some flavor of something. I THINK I paired my phone successfully with my car, Kaylee, earlier. Was too late to call anyone to find out and I hadn't been home to add music to it yet so nothing to play over bluetooth. Will see what trouble I can get into with it in oh.... 3 1/2 hours is when I should be driving in to work.
Tomorrow's going to be rough... not enough sleep. Been breaking a lot of the cardinals rules recently; not enough sleep, forgetting to eat, not taking meds on time and oh.... stressing. Did a lot of the latter this last weekend. I think that's actually breaking all 4. Not good at all considering I'm lowering the dose of the one that consistently keeps the pain away and I have no guarantee yet that the rituxan's actually working the way I think it should. ... Must get back to obeying the rules if this is gonna work. *waggles finger at self*
Music 85%. Ugh. Guess I can leave it running and hope the cats don't mess with the phone. ... Yeeaaaahhhhh..... With 3 hours till the alarm goes off it doesn't look like I have much of a choice.
Hope everyone has a great rest of week. Follow-up appt with Rheumatologist next Wed; girlie appt for anti-munchkin doohickey next Tues. Will of course keep anyone whose interested in wandering into my blog posted on how things go. Worse case next update will probably be next week. Then again, might just show up to ramble now that the health post I'm hoping *crosses fingers* will be few and far between starting here real soon.
*huggles*
Good night and good morning everyone :-D

Well that could be a good sign...
Soooo even with my phone reminding me at 11:30 every day to take my mid-day meds of awesome, apparently I was so busy at work today that I forgot. In the past, forget leads to "bad". Bad being defined as within 2-3 hours the pain will kick in and then it takes 2-3 DAYS to actually get ahead of it again. Reaching into my pockets and pulling out the metal cylinder of drug holding and giving it a shake around 8:30, I realized I may have missed something terribly important and I was holding it in my hand. Math wise, this put me taking my meds about 8-9 hours after I normally do. *boggles* When I took them earlier? Wasn't feeling a d*mn thing. No pain. Thus my forgetting about them all day. What does this mean? Maybe the rituxan is working :-)
Here's hoping! Second round in two days. Bummed I won't have my new Droid X phone to play with and learn while I'm holed up in the hospital, but I'll survive without I guess for a few more days while Best Buy pulls their heads out of their bums and gets more in stock for those of us who pre-ordered it and expected them to get in more than 3 for the first day. ... Goobs. Will just have to take my netbook with me again and hope the interwebs are stronger in signal this next time. *crosses fingers*
Anyways, had to share the good news. Totally jazzed the good drugs may in fact be doing what they're supposed to :-)
